High Efficiency Trumpet Mouthpieces

Comically referred to as "a bent dime with a hole in it," extremely small mouthpieces have been around for many years.

We have designed a line of mouthpieces with small diameter rims, very shallow cups, small bores, and efficient backbores that are balanced to produce a huge sound for the growing numbers of highly efficient commercial trumpet players.

Overall these mouthpieces require about 20 - 25% less effort than our conventional mouthpieces. Because of their small dimensions they require that the player "back-off" on the air.

1. The XV cup is about 20% shallower than our conventional SV cup while maintaining a conical V shape.
2. The EX cup is about 30% shallower than our conventional ES cup while maintaining a shallow bowl shape.
3. The HV backbore is about 20% more efficient than the BA (this comes from player assessments).
